Last weekend, Cam, Vix and I got in the car and drove to Kamloops. Unfortunately, we had to leave Sophie behind with family as she is too ginormous to ride for extended periods of time in my little Acura.
Anyway, it was a really cool seeing the landscape slowly change as we got closer to our semi-arid destination. While I found myself missing our typical lush green surroundings, Kamloops is still a very beautiful place. I especially loved how everything looked as the sun was going down…the houses resting peacefully in the valley and the silhouettes of the mountains all around. There’s just something wonderful about being so close to the mountains.
Did I mention it was crazy hot?? Like 36 deg. Celsius hot. It actually felt like 38 or 40 one day and I felt like my body was shutting down in the heat so we were totally thankful for the pool to cool down in!
While there, I had the awesome pleasure of photographing this little cutie pie. Baby Daniel is so handsome and so happy! Like *really* happy…always smiling and cooing…I could have cuddled him in my arms all day! For those of you who are curious, Little Daniel is bi-racial…half Caucasian, half Indian. Interestingly enough, he almost looks like he’s Hispanic :)
His hands were constantly in his mouth to soothe his gums that were lined with little teeth ready to erupt…

I laughed out loud when my husband Cam cooed over how cute his ‘meaty feet’ were…

Sooooooo cute!!!!!!

This happy little guy (who belongs to this momma) is so adorable and barely fussed at all during the entire session. He actually spent most of his waking time either smiling or curiously staring back at all the faces up in his grill trying to get him to smile :)
His curious look…
Out for a nap…
…and awake again in no time…
Sooooo cute!!!
I honestly came away from this portrait session feeling so touched and inspired. Spending time with Kristina, Ian and their little ones was incredibly heart-warming and some of the moments I had the privilege of capturing almost bring me to tears.
Thank you, Kristina and Ian, for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to document the hugs, kisses, airplane rides, and abundant laughter.
Alright…since soooo many people had asked for the password to see Jennifer’s boudoir session, I’ll just show you the album I designed. Btw, Rob *loved* the images and came up to me to tell me so just a few minutes before their wedding ceremony :)
Stay tuned for images from Rob & Jen’s amazing wedding!!!

Alright, since some of you asked to see more photos of Emma…here are just a few more :)
And now for something completely different and random…
Slavita, who you’ve seen on here before, happens to be a mutual friend of ours. She hung out for the day to help out and provide some comic relief. It’s rather hilarious some of the things she did to get Emma to laugh…I won’t go into details. Anyway, as we were going back in from shooting outside, Slavita saw this raised concrete divider and immediately mounted it and pretended to be a gymnast on a beam…she is, after all Romanian so it must have been some kind of freaky muscle reflex…totally hard-wired into her brain…hahaha. Nice to see you again, friend :)
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of shooting my first boudoir session with the lovely, Emma. We had a super time…especially since Emma was a great sport and down for any suggestions I had!
Here are a few of the many sexy shots from the session…
In his favourite recliner…
Emma - thank you for your complete trust! You really rocked the show, my friend! Jordan is soooo gonna love the images :)
I didn’t have to travel far as these images were taken in my own backyard :)
The absolutely stunning Ellen (who also happens to be my husband’s cousin)…
Tossing around the pile of leaves that Cameron raked the other day…lol…
I had a blast with you today, Ellen! We’ll definitely do it again :)
Aunt Barb & Uncle Rick…if you’re reading this, I hope you like the images!!!
“We became friends from the moment she stepped off the boat! That was eleven years ago now!” Grace giggled and smiled at her friend, Anna. Such close friends they became that they even got matching ladybug tattoos in the very same spot on their lower abdomens.
Today, they’re both pregnant the second time around; Grace about to give birth any day now, and Anna to give birth in about a months’ time. They wanted to do a maternity photo shoot tag team style (lol), so I showed up with my gear in tow and shot my first maternity sessions.
Anna
Grace
Best wishes to you both!!! Looking forward to meeting your new little ones soon!
They made the trip over to the Island to visit with family and also decided to meet with me to do a family photo shoot at Willow Beach. I truly had a great time with this family!
Cindy and Terry are so relaxed and outgoing and their boys, Nathan and Markus, are so cute and full of spunk! You should see what little Markus does when his mom and dad ask him to show off his ’strong man’ pose…lol. You *have* to be there…it’s hilarious. So funny, in fact, that I was tearing up while shooting him striking his pose for his parents. I also found it pretty funny when Nathan suddenly broke out in song…singing a completely made-up song about rainbows. There was a real rainbow in the sky at the time so it totally made sense to sing about it!
Here are a few shots…
I put together a slideshow of some images from Slavita’s bridal session, so if you would like to take a peek, click here!
I am also pleased to announce that DVDs of slideshows from here on will now be available for purchase! Please inquire for further details!
Enjoy the show!

I was 13. My god-sister, Mary Grace, was exactly a year and a day older than me (born on Christmas Day). We were together a lot and I envied her. I wanted to have what she had, I wanted to dress how she dressed, and I wanted to do what she liked. Well, she loved fashion and wedding magazines. So I, too, loved fashion and wedding magazines. She started tearing out pages of her favourite models and wedding dresses. I started tearing out pages of my favourite models and wedding dresses.
I tore the pages out carefully…flattening the magazine as much as possible and working the spine. The pages almost always came free with the bound edge untorn. Just like Mary Grace did it. I categorized my prized pages into a green three-ring binder and hid it in a safe place away from my pesty little sister. One day, my mom found it while cleaning up and got mad at me because she thought I was storing the images for wedding planning purposes…hahaha.
I never thought that 17 years later I would be shooting real brides in real dresses. It’s amazing where life takes you.
So how does this little piece of history relate to my life now? Well, I still like fashion and I still like weddings, and I endeavour to give my photography that yummy taste of fashion flair….with some cjscott artistry and edginess of course.
So do we trash your dress after your wedding? Sure! But we can also do a hip, cool, fashion-inspired bridal session shoot before your wedding…without trashing your dress!
Been wanting to do this one for a while too!
Is your dress just hanging around in your closet? Do you take it out every now and then to admire it all over again, lovingly run your hands over the delicate beading or embroidery, and even put it on for fun and happily twirl around in it? Ever thought how wonderful it would be for someone to capture you doing this?
How about you wear your dress again and we hit up the beach to get stunning shots near sun down with you frolicking in the surf and sand? Or perhaps a stroll around the city getting edgy urban shots appeals to you more?
You can laugh, and twirl, and giggle to your heart’s content and I’ll be there to document it all. Sounds fun doesn’t it? Better than putting your dress on for a few minutes only to be returned to the black depths of your closet and never to be seen again for a year…or two…or never.
I say…let’s enjoy it again!!! Any takers?
Well, I’ve been wanting to do one of these for quite some time now, so instead of waiting on someone to contact me, I thought I’d put some feelers out there to see if anyone would be interested in such a shoot.
YOU: looking sexy in lingerie, maybe your man’s dress shirt and tie, throw in some killer heels…
ME: there to capture the esssence of your beauty and personality…
WHERE: Perhaps a funky and urban hotel room, maybe outdoors (for those with real chutzpah) basking in some tasty golden light, or even at home on your grand piano. Ok, maybe we don’t need a grand piano…but wouldn’t that be cool?!? Oh yeah!
WHEN: Anytime!
WHY: Let’s see…hot and sexy shots of you…maybe made into a little album and given to your husband-to-be as a gift. For his eyes only…or maybe not…
Are you down? If you’re the first person to contact me, you just might get a great deal on this!
Meet William. This tyke is soooo adorable. He’s got cute Asian eyes, chubby cheeks, a wicked mop of hair on his head, and an awesome smile complete with a few tiny pearly whites poking through.
Here are some photos from our shoot…
Look at that adorable smile and all those teeth!
These next few shots were taken near the end of our shoot. William was getting tired, so mom and dad decided to entertain him with some fruit!
Mom (Amy): Get him a banana!
Dad (Pat): Ooooh…he *loves* bananas!
Will: Aaaanaaanaaa!!!
Mom hands it over and the little guy sizes it up…
But I think he’s too tired…he shows little interest and pitches the banana towards mom…
Dad: Hey…he likes pears too. How about a pear, Will? (I love this shot…it makes me laugh!)
Again, he sizes up the offering…
But clearly isn’t thrilled…
Dad: Okay, okay…we’ve got lemons!!!
William excitedly reaching for it…
And eagerly trying to bite into it…
Despite his fatigue, he manages to crack a great smile. The last shot of the day :)
Amy & Pat…thanks again…I had a great time with you and Will. I hope you enjoy these photos!
Cheers,
cj
Many of you are familiar with this little one. Payton has made numerous appearances on my blog, and since he turned a year old not too long ago, we thought we would do another shoot!
He’s got longer hair, he’s motoring around on strong little legs, he’s talking more, he’s amazingly charming as he looks up at the camera at the right times and gives you a bright smile. I love this little guy! Even my sister, Joy, said that it was love at first sight for her when she met Payton…lol.
Enjoy!
This little tyke was so easy-going and super easy to photograph! I still can’t get over how cute it is that he loves Andre Rieu…lol. Even cuter was the fact that he didn’t want me to leave at the end of the photo shoot. Awwww…
Alright, here’s Trenton!
Yes…another photo shoot with another cute kid! Trenton is such a little sweetheart! I found out two really interesting (and peculiar!) things about him…he really enjoys vacuuming and he **loves** watching Andre Rieu on his prized DVDs. For those who don’t know who Andre Rieu is, he is an accomplished Dutch violinist and conductor (I didn’t know who he was either so I Googled him…heehee). When his dad went to reach for some DVDs, I honestly thought “Andre” was some kind of cartoon character I hadn’t heard of. Little did I know that he was a European musician partly responsible for the revival of waltz music. There was a revival? ::scratching head::
Oh yeah, back to Trenton! I really loved how he always smiled with his eyes…just gleaming at times it was so beautiful. Anyway, here’s the little guy…
Yesterday morning, I caught the ferry and drove out to Richmond for a photo shoot with little Noah. He kept me entertained by baby-babbling virtually the entire time I was shooting! Even more awesome was the fact that everytime his mom and dad asked him ‘who’s a champion?’ he would throw up his little arms enthusiastically as if to say ‘I am!’ Adorable for sure :)
Check out some photos from the shoot!
Beautiful girls with stunningly coloured eyes can certainly make a photographers’ job easier :) I really enjoyed this photo shoot…especially once I found some incredibly yummy light hidden behind Sinoah’s bedroom door!
Here are the girls with some pictures of mom and dad included :) Enjoy!
I caught a morning ferry to the Mainland to attend Rylan’s 1st birthday party and do his photo shoot :) Freshly awake from a long nap, he was a bundle of energy…and sometimes difficult to keep up with! In fact, I have never seen a baby crawl soooo fast!!! Luckily, I managed to get a few shots…lol.
Big birthday hugs, Rylan :)
This was my first baby photo session of the year and it was great! Keaton was a real treat to photograph :) If I am correct, he is a year old this week! Happy birthday little one!
Anyway, without further ado…here’s baby Keaton.
Enjoy!
…before my big move to the Island! We’ve packed most of our stuff, but we still have a few boxes to fill. It’s all very exciting!!!
I had a really fun time photographing sisters, Anais and Sinoah, earlier today! I have to say…I’ve photographed some pretty baby blue eyes before, but Anais’ baby blues were quite stunning! Really out of this world! Awesome big sister, Sinoah, had equally beautiful green eyes, crazy cute freckles and a super sweet personality.
It was also great chatting it up with mom and dad (Winter and Dave). Again…great personalities…very cool, down-to-earth people…they definitely made my job easier! Thanks again Winter and Dave for inviting me over to photograph the kids. It was an awesome time for me and I really look forward to doing it again in the future!
Here are a few from the day…
As soon as I stepped through the door, this little guy was all smiles! He was quite expressive too…grunting and making other cute miscellaneous baby sounds in response to his parents. Keaton was especially cute when he immediately dropped what he was playing with in order to score a nibble…or two…or a few…of peanut butter and honey toast that his dad was having for breakfast :)
What really made this photo session particularly fun and memorable was the fact that it ended in an enthusiastic rendition of “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, courtesy of Keaton’s parents, Veronica and Jeremy…lol! Of course, Keaton was all over it as he clapped his little hands and squealed with delight. So awesome! Thanks for all the fun!
Here are some pictures from the day!
I drove up to North Vancouver this morning for a photo session with 3 1/2 year-old Don and 1 year-old Kaitlyn. As usual, this kids’ shoot was super fun!As soon as I walked through the door, Don was clearly ready to be photographed. This little man has such a beautiful smile and had the ability to flash it perfectly on cue! Too funny! His baby sister, Kaitlyn, was equally adorable with her crazy cute curly hair!
Here are some photos from today!
These two little ones were an absolute joy to photograph! Kaila was especially funny since she wanted to be right in front of my lens at all times…as close as possible! LOL Way too cute :)
Cheers,
CJ
I’m really excited to share the fact that I am featured this week on Westcoasttot.com! This is so cool! A big thank you to the staff at Westcoast Tot for allowing me the privilege of photographing their little ones!
Check out the Fresh Weekly feature article here !
It truly is wonderful how well my work has been received and I appreciate all the amazing comments and words of encouragement that I’ve been receiving from people over the past few months. I love being a photographer and I always hope that my love and passion for photography shows through my images. Thanks again!

My second photo shoot in Richmond was with two super cute tykes…3 year-old Kaila and her little sister Sydney. OMG…Kaila just adored being in front of my camera…she really did make my job easy! She would bat her eyelashes, sit up close, and smile beautifully with that twinkle in her eyes. Sydney was equally adorable and looked so cute as her plump little baby fingers dug into her box of raisins :)
Yesterday, I drove out to Richmond to do a couple of photo shoots and my first session was with 3 year-old Emily and her newborn brother, Nicholas. Emily was full of spunk and while Nicholas was wide-eyed for a few photos, he was fast asleep in no time :) *sigh* The life of a newborn. If I coud, I’d be sleeping all the time too!
This photo shoot was really fun…I love photographing children!
Apparently, little Markus was comfortable around me despite being a bit shy with strangers…I even held him for a while! Nathan was such a ham in front of my camera! He danced, sang, clapped his hands with enthusiasm and also knew how to sweet-talk his parents into letting him have more of his Halloween candy…lol. How awesome is that?!? Cindy and Terry and very lucky to have these two wonderful little guys to fill their days with love and laughter.
Alright…without further ado…here are Nathan & Markus (and a bit of Cindy & Terry too)!
Enjoy!

I just finished the Elliott Family slideshow! Liza gave me a call one day after seeing pictures from another shoot and invited me over to capture her little ones…truly beautiful and sweet children.
Liza and Bill…I hope you love the photos! Thank you for inviting me over (and sending me home with some yummy cookies…lol). The pleasure was all mine :)
Cheers,
CJ
Wow…little Alexis was super fun to photograph. Not only is she a rambunctious little tyke who laughs with ease and helped me *run* my photoshoot…she’s also the daughter of one of my dearest friends, Nathalie. Nat and I go waaay back…we’ve been friends since the age of 15…half a lifetime ago!Nat and her husband, Cliff, also recently moved into a beautiful brand new house…so it was nice to make the drive out to Surrey to visit them, their new digs, and what Cliff likes to refer to as his second baby (his new ginormous TV)…lol.
Here’s Nat and Cliff’s little angel :)
I’ve been busy with more kid’s photo shoots lately! I think they’re so fun! I absolutely adore children and look forward to having my own someday :) Anyway, this past Saturday I paid Nathan and Markus a visit. They played with their toys, sang, danced, laughed…and Nathan was lucky enough to enjoy some Halloween candy as well. I’m so happy to have captured it all. These little guys are so cute with tons of personality!
On Sunday, I had the pleasure of spending some time with Dominick, Liam, and Kailie. They were really fun to photograph and their mom, Liza, was also so sweet to send me home with a few freshly baked cookies :)
Here are some pics from the day!
The three adorable tykes:
Kailie in her room…she’s sooooooo cute:
The boys showing off their skills with basketballs:
Cam and I hosted our very first Halloween party and it was fun!!! We had a great turn-out and everyone came in costume. Our guests included a ghetto ghost (bedsheet thrown over head), Don King, Raggedy Ann, a couple of Star Wars Jedis, Kim Jong Il, my husband the sea monster (my sister thought he was dressed up as grass), Wonder Woman, Snow White, The Phantom of the Opera and Christine, a freshly bitten Geisha along with the Vampire perp, and plenty of others!
We bumped the music, filled up on tons of candy and other junk, played poker, and simply enjoyed our company. All I know is that appreciate it so much when my friends and I all take some time out from our busy lives to get together :)
I didn’t bust out my camera for the party (some days I feel like it’s permanently attached to my hands), but I did however, manage to get some pre-party shots of one of my favourite little men. Here’s Payton as a cute and furry beaver…a Canadian one!!! LOL
Well…here are the adorable Bellia tykes…Erik, Andrew and Adriana! It was such an absolute pleasure taking photos of these kids. I’d gladly do it again! I was thoroughly entertained…and spent after the shoot! LOL Seriously, I don’t know how April runs a successful business and a house full of little ones at the same time! I’m utterly amazed! Thanks for all the great advice, April…there’s nothing like soaking up knowledge from a seasoned pro! I hope that you and Elvis enjoy the photos :)

I just completed a slideshow of yesterday’s photo shoot with Farleigh. This kid just kills me she’s so beautiful!!! See Farleigh here :) Enjoy!
CJ
Today, I had a quick shoot with Farleigh…yes, on my first year wedding anniversary! It was super fun! We walked down to a local park and I shot away. It was so great to see Farleigh having fun and she is an absolute doll. She’s got a great personality and giggles with ease…just adorable with that cute pixie-like face. I can’t stop gushing about her! Check this cutie out for yourself!
Fara and I drove out to the mosque today to scope it out…she gets married there in three weeks! Hopefully the weather cooperates and we can have the ceremony outdoors *keeping fingers crossed*. Anyway, afterterwards, we decided to stop by and visit her grandma who is staying at at seniors’ home right beside the mosque. Grandma was in good spirits, although Fara and I felt a little bit sad being at the home. We asked to see some pictures that she has of her great-grandaughter, Sienna, and
