They flew in from London, England and got married on one of the sunniest days December has seen so far here in Victoria.
Deanna and Joelh contacted me just three weeks before they were to exchange vows and I met them for the first time *on* their wedding day! Of course, before I ever met them in person, I knew they would be such a great couple. Oh yeah, and they’re incredibly gorgeous too!!
I asked Joelh about his accent and he told me that he was of Swedish descent and that his family flew in for the wedding from Sweden. Naturally, I perked up when he told me this because:
1. Two of my very good friends are Swedish and currently live in Sweden. Hej Johanna & Chris!
2. I shot Johanna & Chris’ wedding in Sweden and it was the first wedding I ever shot. Yes, in Sweden!! Super cool hey? Holla!!
I even busted out the few Swedish words I know…hej, kram, korv, skol, mjolk, and bjorn…which also happen to be the same words that my husband knows. The same words that he would try to inject into literally every sentence that he could while we were in Sweden (which drove me crazy after a while…hahaha).
Anyway, I had such a great time with my beautiful couple and I can’t wait to share all their photographs with them!
Deanna & Joelh – Thank you so much for having me! I hope you have a fantastic time in Hawaii!!
Here are some shots from the day…

Great job Ceej! And, how can you NOT know the swedish word Fika??? It is the best! It’s that break in the day when you have coffee and a snack. I suppose if you’re not a coffee buff, it escapes the minimal vocab! =) I love the swedes…one of my bridesmaids was Swedish! She flew to Canada with her husband and son for our wedding. We met at Photo school in Hawaii.
Hope you & Cam have a super great Christmas!!

Thank you for the greeting!
I love the first picture, she looks like a fairy who just found her fairy prince. The green lush and moist forest in the background and her beautiful dress gives the picture a wonderful contrast.
I love you work CJ!
Have a wonderful holiday and give Cam a big hug from me.
