…or is that…Rosemary + Steve = Charlotte :)
Either way, these beautiful people also happen to be members of mi familia. I spent some time with them recently to capture these images and of course, I had a wonderful time documenting the smiles, laughs, hugs, kisses, play time, feeding time and everything in between!
Starting things off right with a entertaining game of ”Where’s Charlotte?”…

Big hands, little feet, big feet…

I had the red ball in my hand…I offered said red ball…Charlotte happily accepted…

Mom and Dad wanted a nice portrait with Charlotte…

But she decided to flee (with determination on her face)…

Mom and Dad watching Charlotte from afar (what you don’t see is Charlotte cocking her head at a guy walking along with his dog)…

Mom and Dad trying to get Charlotte to come back…so funny and cute…

Officially tying the knot after eighteen years of love and togetherness…and I got to witness the joy and beauty of it all :) More photos to come!

Capturing a simple day in the life of a child truly is a beautiful thing :)

It was beautiful, quiet and peaceful out a few nights ago and I just wanted to remember it, so I took my camera out to the backyard.

Check out Sophie’s puppy dog eyes. They are NO JOKE. She’s been glued to my feet all day today while I’ve been editing, but every once in a while, she gets up and stares at me. That typically means that she wants to go outside and play…and I usually cave :)
More from this session coming soon :)

After I had been in contact with Lisa through e-mail earlier in January of this year, she realized that we had an interesting connection. In reading through my blog, she realized that I was the wife of Cameron…someone she knew from her childhood. In fact, Lisa’s brother, Dean, was one of Cam’s best buddies in grade school and apparently, he spent a lot of time here at the Scott household :) When I told my mother-in-law that I was shooting Lisa’s wedding, the cooed with delight and told me about how she used to bake pies with Lisa’s mom! [Hi mom! I know you've been eagerly awaiting this blog post...so enjoy :)]
Anyway, it was sweet and funny how I had people coming up to me throughout the day to say hi and tell me how they knew my family :) *sigh* What a small world!
Alright…the wedding! It was such a beautiful day…made even better because I had some great company along. I was fortunate to be shooting with my incredibly talented photographer friend, Melia Sorenson (Lucida Photography). If you haven’t seen her work (which I highly doubt), I implore you to go check out her website and be prepared to be blown away. She such a constant source of inspiration for me. Thank you, Melia :)
It was a bright sunny day that started off with me meeting the bride and her girls at the elegant Shangri-La Hotel.
First off, Lisa’s lovely Monique Lhuillier gown…

The wedding and reception were held at the ever popular Swan-E-Set Bay Resort & Country Club…
